Romulus Augustus is 12 years old and the last emperor of Rome.  When his parents are killed and Empire falls, all hope lies in a weapon of wondrous power; a sword created for Caesar and one so mighty, it can conquer every foe it faces.  As Caesar's descendant, Romulus is its rightful keeper and must seek it out.

With an invading army fast approaching, a wizard will teach Romulus a warrior will train him and a general will lead him to Excalibur - the sword with the power to forge a new nation - and the beginning of King Arthurs's legend.
