A comedy caper built around a bizarre road trip undertaken by three very odd bedfellows, as they concoct a murder plan.
After his wife walks out on him Paul (Thierry Lhermitte: The Dinner Game) decides he would be much happier if he just did away with her. His uncle L' Elegant (Phillippe Noiret: Cinema Paradiso; II Postino), a judge. agrees to help and enlists the services of reluctant hitman, Vincent (Richard Bohringer: Rembrandt; Le Grand Chemin), whom he had acquitted several years earlier of murdering his wife and her lover. Taking Paul's car. the three men go in search of their victim.
Tango is an entertaining film, which examines male! female relationships and male bonding. Despite the grim-sounding story line, it is a comical, up-tempo road movie that cleverly draws on the men's Irrationality.
