2006, 105 minutes, Rated M

Already hailed as one of the most unique, outrageous films in recent memory, Mister Lonely is the latest brainchild of sublimely demented writer/director Harmony Korine (Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy; writer of Kids and the notoriously banned-in-Australia Ken Park).

In Paris, ashy and reclusive Michael Jackson impersonator (Diego Luna - Before Night Falls, Y Tu Mama Tambien) meets a vivacious Marilyn Monroe (two-time Oscar-nominee Samantha Morton - Control). She convinces him to come home with her to a seaside castle in the north of Scotland, a surreal commune populated entirely by celebrity lookalikes.

Meanwhile, halfway across the world in a remote South American jungle, a priest (legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog) discovers firsthand that miracles are possible...

Featuring Denis Levant (A Very Long Engagement) as Charlie Chaplin and magician David Blaine as Sammy Davis Jr., along with James Fox as The Pope and Anita Pallenberg as The Queen (reuniting these two legends onscreen for the first time since Performance), Mister Lonely is an enthrallingly insane fable of magic and wonder in a cynical world, and a surprising and satisfying tour de force from one of the most original cinematic minds in a generation.
