"Their backgrounds may set them apart, but their baby is bringing them together. Just try telling that to the parents."

Clara is Jewish and Ismael is Muslim. Secular vis-a-vis their assigned faiths, they're completely in love and comfortable in their 4 year relationship. Yet when Clara learns she's pregnant, the issue of declaring their love to their traditional parents leads them on an amusing journey that will bring all manner of issues to the surface.
