1999, 106 minutes, Rated MA

The Corruptor is a slick, action thriller about life as a cop in the violent and merciless underbelly of New York's Chinatown.

Hong Kong action star Chow Yun-Fat stars as Nick Chan, a street savvy cop with a shady history and boss of the NYPD's Asian Gangs Unit. Mark Wahlberg is his new partner, Danny Wallace - an idealistic young rookie caught in the grey area that hovers between right and not so right.

When a turf war erupts between the established Triads and the newly arrived brutally violent Furkinese Dragons, the streets of Chinatown are destined to run red with the blood of vengeance. Meanwhile Danny discovers his partner's ties with The Triads have crossed the moral line one time too many - a line where there can be no coming back.

With a superb cast, white-knuckle, high-octane action blended with a thumping hip-hop soundtrack, The Corruptor is an experience not to be missed.
