The first step in the process was to find the original 16mm interpos which turned out to be in a safety deposit box in Zurich, along with several dozen production stills and the Marcos millions. This interpos was then repaired and given an ultrasonic clean, followed by a thorough dosing with Spray n' Wipe which managed to remove all of the damage and part of the final scene. The film was then scanned to 16:9 HD and colour graded. In addition, a special new soundtrack was created for hearing impaired viewers (although this was subsequently removed after it was found to be audible only to small dogs). Finally, all 127 spelling mistakes in the closing credits were corrected or, at least, rendered marginally less offensive.
