AFL - CATS: 50 Years of Geelong Football ClubIcon_movClass_G

2001, 120 minutes, Rated G

The contemporary history of the Geelong Football Club started in the early fifties when the men of Reg Hickey won back to back flags.

This is the story of a great club. Of the men who have made the Cats one of football's most endearing teams over the last fifty seasons.

Men like Fred Flanagan, who led those sides of 51-52, of Bobby Davis, the great half-forward who remains their only living premiership coach, and of great players like Graham Farmer and Billy Goggin, John Newman and Doug Wade, Billy Brownless and Gary Ablett.

Geelong's roots stretch back into time but this is a video history for today told by the men who have made Geelong great. Watch them in action and listen to their stories.

Flanagan, Davis, Lord, Goggin, Farmer, Wade, Newman, Blight, Ablett - They are all here... all with a story to tell.

This is Geelong - the greatest team of all and these are the last 50 years.
