Special Agent Jason Enola was once one of the FBI's brightest stars, but now he is a tormented soul after having tracked a serial killer known as "Alone" for over a decade. No clues, no evidence, nothing but a paper trail...now, the killer has resurfaced.
Meanwhile, renowned psychologist Rd Robertson who heads group therapy sessions for patients suffering from extreme fear-related disorders has her own problems.
"Alone" is murdering members of her group one by one. Enola tries desperately to find the connection between Robertson and the killer. He is convinced that Robertson is the ultimate target and that the killer may be a member of her group.
