Sit back and enjoy this lavish and bawdy tale of adventure on the high seas. Directed by acclaimed film-maker Roman Polanski, the Academy Award nominated PIRATES is the tale of the infamous British buccaneer Pirate Red (Walter Matthau).

Red and his first mate are shipwrecked and set adrift on a makeshift raft. Faced with starvation, fate puts them in the path of a grand Spanish Galleon whose cargo includes the legendary Capatiec Hanoccae, a priceless, ancient gold throne. Imprisoned in the hull, the resourceful Red plans an escape and mutiny, determined to make the throne his. Meanwhile, Red's first mate hotly pursues the Spanish Lord's beautiful niece.
