2001, 99 minutes, Rated R

She was in the wrong place and the wrong time and, then, she was no more. Jazz musician Danny Parker's wife was murdered, and Danny was powerless to prevent it. Now the heartbroken trumpet player is on the skids, lost in the lifestyle of Los Angeles' derelict tweakers. Or is he? In Danny's world nothing - most of all Danny - is what it seems.

Deceit, double crosses, twisted agendas: mystery runs deep in "The Salton Sea". So does the talent behind this dreamlike thriller.

D.J. Caruso directs, working with producers Frank Darabont, Eriq La Salle and others to compliment the cleverly time-fractured script by Tony Gayton ("Murder by Numbers") with stylish images. And Val Kilme is spellbinding as Danny, a man adrift in a sea of lowlifes (played by Vincent D'Onofrio, Anthony La Paglia and many more) - yet hovering on the razor's edge of a dangerous revenge.
