Two young Americans, a pretty girl named Lidda (Kirsten Dunst) and a twenty-year old named Colonel, set out on an impromptu road trip from Nebraska to Las Vegas. Lidda wishes a reunion with her long lost father, Charlie (James Caan), a professional poker player making a big comeback after a series of personal misfortunes. Once in 'Lucky Town' the two quickly learn that fate and fortune plays out in unpredictable ways. They find themselves seduced by a local gangster named Tony Decarlo, a virtuoso poker player, and Charlie's nemesis.

This is the story of two youngsters at a crossroads in their lives. They struggle to love and survive, but they must also win big in 'Lucky Town' for their futures to exist at all.
