A compelling tale of romantic tragedy in nineteenth century Russia. Alexander Pushkin's epic novel "Eugene Onegin" has been brought to life by academy award winning actor Ralph Fiennes (The English Patient, Schindlers List).
Evgeny Onegin (Ralph Fiennes) disillusioned with St Petersburgh's high society moves to the country when he unexpectedly inherits and estate. A city sophisticate out of place, he is, nevertheless, intrigued by Tatyana (Liv Tyler), a spirited beauty who surprises him with her passionate declaration of love. Rebuking this love is a decision he lives to regret and one which comes back to haunt him in this sweeping epic film, a tale of unrequited love, desire and danger within a tangled web of emotions.
