1999, 121 minutes, Rated M

Traumatised by a boating accident that killed two friends, Joe Gastineau has given up hope for a life beyond the odd jobs he takes to support himself. That changes when struggling singer Donna De Angelo and her troubled teenage daughter enter his life. But both mother and daughter fall for Joe, increasing the already-present friction between them. The tension continues to build until Joe's fast-talking half-brother Bobby returns to town, sparking a chain of events that will change all of their lives forever. From celebrated filmmaker John Sayles (Lone Star, The Secret of Roan Inish), LIMBO is a movie of engaging characters and engrossing storytelling, overlaid on the extraordinary setting of the rugged Alaskan wilderness. Starring David Strathairn (from L.A Confidential) and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (from The Abyss), it's a powerful and compelling motion picture that you simply should not miss.
