Based on the book of the same name by Davig Wagoner and with a screenplay written by Melissa Mathison (E.T. The Extra Terrestrial), The Escape Artist tells the story of Danny Masters, the teenaged son of the late Harry Masters the "greatest escape artis in the world, after Houdini", who leaves home to join his Aunt and Uncle in the magician act.
An accomplished magician himself, Danny must deal with those around him that seek to exploit his talents as well as coming to terms with the death of his father, the circumstances of which he did not previously know.
Featuring some amazing magic tricks and an all-star cast, The Escape artist is an adventure the whole family will love!
