Award-Winning actor/director Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade) produces and directs this hard-hitting film based on Cormac McCarthy's smash novel, starring Academy Award winner Matt Damon (star of Good Will Hunting & Saving Private Ryan).

Damon plays John Grady Cole, a 1950s cowboy who, with his best friend Lacey Rawlins (Henry Thomas from Legends Of The Fall) leaves Texas and heads south of the border to find work breaking horses. However when Cole falls in love with the beautiful daughter (Penelope Cruz) of his ruthless employer, the ramifications that come about threaten to upend the lives of all concerned.
