Rob Lower stars as William Conroy, a college professor serving time in state prison for vehicular manslaughter. Having served all but a few months of his six-year sentence, William discovers that he has become the target of a victim's rights group who is trying to have him murdered in prison as an act of revenge. James Coburn co-stars as Jim Corcoran, the leader of the activist group ho has colluded with the corrupt prison warden to make good on the promist made to the victim's relatives.
Scott Ziehl (Broken Vessels) directs from a Ben Queen and Seamus Ruane script that forces William into a desperate race to expose the true intention of an extreme organistion before they seal his fate. Produced by Joel Silver (The Matrix, Lethal Weapon 1-4, Die Hard), Proximity delivers the type of gripping action sequences and daring stunts that have become trademarks of his films.
