Friends

1. What are Friends for?

You can use the Friends section to keep in touch with a group of people who have similar interests and tastes to you. The page can include reviews, ratings, the queue and PopLists that you and your friends create.

Once you've found other members you'd like to share movie experiences with, just save them to the My Friends list. Then you'll be able to view the movies they have reviewed, rated or currently have in their queue. It's a great way to find new titles to watch, as you can draw on the experience of other members just like you.

2. How to choose your Friends

You can find new 'Friends' by either clicking on the user's nickname (if they've written a review you admire, for example); or by searching a list of people, in 'Browse Members', who wish to participate in the Friends community.

We've also provided an indicator called Share Taste, that tells you how much your movie tastes match up with a potential Friend's. The higher the percentage score, the more similar your tastes are likely to be. Add them as your Friend and you'll be able to see what they are rating, reviewing and adding to their queue; and get new ideas for movie titles that you might like to watch.

3. What is 'My Page'?

'My Page' features all your reviews, the titles you've rated, your friends, and your queue. You can also change your privacy settings from here, to determine which of this information you'd like to make public.

To update your settings, just make any changes and click 'Save Changes'.

The default settings will leave your queue, ratings and Your Friends list private. So if you wish to share any of these on Your Page, you'll need to update your privacy settings.
