How to make the most of your membership

1. Want to save money?
  • The easiest way to save money at BigPond Movies is to be a BigPond Broadband Member as well. You can save $5 a month on your plan.

  • You can also save $3 to $5 per month by selecting a 12-month fixed term subscription to BigPond Movies. To change to a 12-month plan after your free trial is over, go to the 'My Account' page then click the My Plan tab. (Please note that a cancellation fee applies if you leave before your 12 months is up.)
  • The other big way to save is to make sure your plan matches the number of DVDs you're watching each month.
  • If you frequently pay extra DVD fees, then a more generous plan will usually cost less than your extra DVD fees.
  • Or, if you're on a plan that provides more DVDs per month than you watch, you might reduce your monthly fee without reducing your enjoyment, just by changing to a lower plan.

2. Want more control?
  • If you need to control how much you spend with BigPond Movies each month, start by holding onto your current DVDs once you reach your monthly limit. When you send back a DVD, we always send you another one as fast as we can. And that could mean you get more DVDs (and charges) than you want in a month. So wait until your monthly billing date comes around, then you put your last DVDs in the post and mark them as 'Returned' on our website. You'll have your next movie, on the next month's quota, in next to no time.
  • If you think you'll have trouble managing your DVD numbers for yourself, we can do it for you. You can set a limit on the number of DVDs we send you in a month. Just log in to 'My Account', select the 'Preferences' tab, and then update the 'Excess DVD' section. You set the limit you want and we'll automatically stop sending you DVDs when you hit this number. We'll then send your next DVD when your next billing period starts.
3. Want to get your next DVD faster?
  • Going online and ticking the 'Returned' box in the 'DVDs At Home' section of the MyQ page will speed up the dispatch of your next DVD. In fact, if you tick this box before midnight, we'll make every effort to send you another DVD the next working day!

    Please note: This option does not allow you to have more DVDs out than are allowed on your plan, and it is only available to members who have already returned at least one DVD to us.

    And please be sure to post your 'Returned' DVD as soon as possible. If we don't get it within a couple of days, we may think it's been lost and you may incur a replacement fee.
