Managing My Queue

In MyQ, you can place the DVDs you want to see in the order you would like to see them.

Simply adjust the order of your DVDs and click 'Update Queue' to save all your changes.

You can also move any DVD to any position in the queue by typing a new 'priority' over the top of the existing 'priority'. And right next to each 'priority' number, there's a button that lets you instantly move the title to the top of the queue.

1. Adding a DVD to myQ

Firstly you need to find some DVDs that you want to watch.

You can either search our site for a specific Title, browse by Genre, or look through the DVDs we've recommended for you.

Once you've found a DVD, just click 'Add' to add it to your rental queue. Once you've finished adding DVDs to your queue, visit the MyQ page to start placing them in the order you'd like us to send them out. We'll always try to send them to you in this order.

If you've set up more than one queue, you can manage the order of each one separately.

2. Adding a series or multi-disc series

You can choose an entire series or multi-DVD set using the 'Add All' button. We don't necessarily send you all DVDs at once, but we will send them out in the correct order.

For example if you add 'West Wing - Season 1' to MyQ, we'll send you the first DVD from that set. When you return that one, we'll send you the second DVD from the set, and so on.

If you just want to see one DVD from a series, click the 'View Series Details' link. All the DVDs in the series will then be displayed, so that you can choose the ones you want watch individually.

A good tip when adding series to MyQ is to make sure you only have one season of a show at a time. That way, we can make sure you get to watch all the discs from season 1 before we start sending you discs from season 2.

3. Adding a DVD to other queues

You can create separate queues for different members of your household by clicking 'Create Another Queue' on the MyQ page. This allows a fair share of rentals to be sent to each queue owner every month.

You can add DVDs directly to a particular person's queue by clicking on the 'Add', 'Add All' or 'Reserve' button. A drop down menu will appear with a list of the different queues you have set up, and you can then choose which Queue you want the DVD added to.

4. Reserving an unreleased DVD

Hundreds of new DVDs get released each month. So, to help you select DVDs that are coming up in the future, you can choose 'Reserve' to add these titles to MyQ'. Once these titles have been released, we notify you via email and transfer them into your normal rental queue for dispatch.

5. Managing bonus discs

By default, we don't send you any of the bonus discs that are sold with some titles. If you'd specifically like to see the special features on a bonus DVD, you can either select the disc separately from that movie's details page, or you can change your rental preferences to 'Add bonus disc'.

We can't always dispatch a title and its bonus disc together. But if only one DVD is being sent out to you at a time, we'll try to make sure you get the main feature first.

6. What happens with multi-disc series in MyQ?

Each multi-disc set gets the same priority against all its discs. So, for example, if you make 'West Wing – Season 1' your 2nd highest priority, the entire season will be marked at priority 2.

We'll also send you all the discs from any season in sequence. But make sure you only have one season of a multi-season series in MyQ at a time. That way we can be sure that you get to watch all the discs in Season 1 before we send you anything from Season 2.

7. What does availability mean?

Availability indicates how quickly you can expect to receive a DVD. It usually depends on the level of demand for that title, and the number of copies of DVDs we have.

The 3 levels of availability you'll see mentioned in MyQ are:

  • Short Wait
These DVDs are pretty popular, and there is already a list of users waiting to see this DVD. We might not be able to send it out to you straight away. However we'll try to get it to you shortly.
  • Long Wait
These are the really popular titles or, sometimes a DVD that is no longer in circulation. We have identified these titles and marked them "No Longer Available" next to the title name. In either case, we'll still try to get the DVD to you as soon as possible.
  • Now
At the time of viewing 'MyQ' these titles are in stock and on the day of your due dispatch (which is dependent on the demand for particular titles) you will be more than likely dispatched your Number 1 DVD.

8. How do I remove a DVD from MyQ?

To remove a DVD from MyQ, just click the 'Remove' tick box next to it and then select 'Update Queue'.
